Bernard would like to bring your attention to the Sabotage Times, a new website from his good friend James Brown. Johnny Dee described the site in the 22 May 2010 edition of the Guardian as:
“A new project from former lad mag editor James Brown, who aims to do for the discerning middle-aged fella what Loaded and its ilk did for 1990s hedonists. Under the banner ‘We Can’t Concentrate So Why Should You?’, you’ll find a healthy mix of archive articles and new pieces with the emphasis on nostalgia. Shed man totems Steve McQueen, Paul Weller and Geoffrey Boycott feature, as do homages to Adidas trainers and the Vespa scooter, plus amusing opinion pieces, reportage and fiction alongside more predictable internet distraction from YouTube. Men of a certain age will find their pub chat repertoire reignited.”

Some reviews of the Bad Lieutenant gig at the Electric Ballroom:
LIVE: BAD LIEUTENANT AT THE ELECTRIC BALLROOM
“But the evening’s wonderful vibes owe just as much to the emotional clout of Lieutenant themselves, who, true to form, resemble their mother band but also rage uncannily like other guitar-slinging dreamers of the Eighties’ new wave. Opener This Is Home and single Sink Or Swim will cause wry smiles to listeners of certain age.”
BAD LIEUTENANT – ELECTRIC BALLROOM, LONDON – 19/3/10
“One of Bad Lieutenant’s best songs, and current single, ‘Twist of Fate’, easily holds its own, with its refrain of ‘and the beat just goes on, and on, and on’ being perfectly cued by a propulsive ‘Crystal’. Revelation of the night is ‘Poisonous Intent’ morphing into some unheard classic, underpinned by a muscular synth line missing from the album version. Another surprise is the house-surge of the Chemical Brothers ‘Out Of Control’, on which Sumner leant vocals. It’s massive, and throws the crowd back to shape throwing days, filling Camden’s ballroom with lasers and contagious grins. At the unmistakable keyboards of ‘Temptation’ exploding to life, this bonhomie almost tips the roof off, as the crowd go ballistic.”
